Only Rain Down the Drain!
Posted: Apr 16, 2021 4:38pm

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) lists pet waste as a significant source of non-point pollution. Pet waste left on lawns, curbs, sidewalks, and streets can wash into local waterways during a rainstorm. Remember, stormwater currently receives no treatment. Water that flows into your stormwater drainage system goes directly into our bayous, rivers, and bays.

Please pick up after your pet!

Water Service Update
Posted: Feb 17, 2021 3:13pm

As of 12 noon 2/17/2021 – Cimarron MUD customers do not need to boil water at this time. Cimarron MUD is NOT included in the City of Houston Boil water notice. We have had a decrease in water pressure due to operations at this time – but there is no need to boil water

Welcome to Cimarron MUD

Created on February 9, 1976, Cimarron Municipal Utility District has been providing water and waste-water services for over 40 years. We are currently transitioning from reliance on ground water aquifiers over to surface water. In an effort to reduce subsidence this conversion to surface water has been mandated by the West Harris County Regional Water Authority, founded in 2001.
