Attention to all residents. West Harris County Regional Water Authority has entered Stage 1 (voluntary reductions) of its Drought Contingency Plan. This is due to present overall drought conditions. It is strongly encouraged that all residents conserve water usage voluntarily. The Authority will continue to monitor water use along with providing another notice if drought stages change or if Stage 1 is lifted. Thank you for your cooperation.

Harris County Precinct 4 - Debris Collection

Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones Road and Bridge team will be picking up tree and fencing debris from Hurricane Beryl throughout unincorporated areas of Precinct 4. Our team will systematically sweep through the subdivisions to clear storm debris street by street over 3 phases.

  1. Please place debris on the public easement in front or on the side of your home, between the sidewalk and the curb (or within three feet of the curb if you do not have a sidewalk) so that our maintenance teams can get to it as they cannot go on private property.
  2. Please leave your debris loose and in a pile and not in bags.
  3. Please also be mindful of not placing the debris too close to fragile infrastructure like sprinkler heads, water mains or right next to mail posts to minimize the risk of damage when the debris is being picked up as the larger pieces will be moved with a claw.
  4. As of right now, there is no set schedule for the passes so we cannot guarantee when the maintenance teams will be in your area, but they are working overtime to clean up the storm debris over the next few weeks.

Precinct 4 will be picking up debris regardless of whether a homeowner made a request to Precinct 4 but you are welcome to call our Harris County Precinct 4 Community Assistance Department at 832-927-4444, email us at service@hcp4.net or reach out via our web portal at https://cp4.harriscountytx.gov/Assistance to make a request.

Public dumpsters are available for public residential use only. You can bring storm debris and heavy trash to one of our 3 public dumpster sites, more information regarding the public dumpsters can be found online at: https://cp4.harriscountytx.gov/Public-Dumpsters ).

If you are trying to find assistance to move debris from your private property to the curb feel free to reach out and we will be happy to provide resources of groups who may be able to help. Precinct 4 maintenance employees cannot move this debris but we may be able to connect you to other agencies or volunteer services deployed after the storm who may be able to help.

Feel free to reach out to Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones Community Assistance Department for any additional support. We will be happy to help connect you to resources in your neighborhood and provide local government service assistances before, during and after the storm.
